"Home Zen Retreat"
This project was located in Toronto, Ontario. The clients wanted to give their garage a new purpose since they have started to work at home. The design of this space was based on their daily activities and their lifestyle. Some of the words that best describe the concept of this project are freshness, energetic, lively, and natural. It is divided into 3 different areas: Gym, Yoga studio, and Indoor garden.
For this particular area, we designed the rack where the weights and other gym accessories are placed.
This particular area was designed deeply in the visual language obtained during the process. We have a shelf in the middle that has the shape of a person meditating, there are placed the yoga accessories, we have a mirror with the design of mandalas, and in front of it a small altar. The colors that stand out the most is green that transmits freshness, and it is relaxing for the human eye
indoor garden surrounded by many plants on the wall and it has a swing chair where our client can enjoy the outside view through the window or by opening the main garage door since it is made of glass. We designed the round shelves based on paperboard and wood.
Materials that have been used the most were wood (Cherry and Teak) these make the space more organic, natural, and fresh. For the color of the walls, we chose a sandy tone that makes the environment more calm and peaceful.
The project exceeded the expectations of our clients and ours. Definitely, a place where you can relax, and refresh yourself at the "Home Zen Retreat"
